Questions ESG and HR teams ask
How do employees join our organisation on KarbonZ?
Your ESG team invites them from the corporate portal, by email or with a shareable link, and they are linked as soon as they sign up. Employees can also link themselves with your company’s KarbonZ ID and a photo of their ID card.
Which BRSR figures does KarbonZ produce?
Employee-related Scope 3 emissions: Category 7 (employee commuting) and Category 6 (business air travel), in tCO2e, by the distance-based method, with GHG Protocol category mapping, an intensity ratio input and a methodology note. Other BRSR indicators, and Scope 1 and 2, come from your own systems.
Can branch and department heads see everyone’s data?
No. The ESG head sees the whole organisation. A branch head sees only their branch, and a department head sees only their department.
Is the report independently assured?
Calculations are reviewed internally. They have not yet been independently assured. If your BRSR Core disclosures need reasonable assurance, share the methodology note with your assurance provider.
What happens when an employee deletes their account?
Their personal data is erased. Activity already counted in your organisation’s totals is kept without anything that identifies them, so past reports still add up.
