After you sign up, KarbonZ asks four short screens of questions. Your answers build your baseline: the starting footprint later months are compared with. Only questions you answer are scored.
The four screens
- Where do you live? (1 of 4): your city, What type of home do you live in? and How many people live in your household? Tap Use my current location to fill in the city. Then tap Continue.
- Your home energy (2 of 4): What is your average monthly electricity bill?, How many ACs do you use at home? and How often do you work from home? Tap Continue.
- Your daily commute (3 of 4): What is your primary mode of transport? For a car, you are also asked the fuel type and how many people usually travel with you. Then On average, how many kilometers do you travel every week? Tap Calculate My Baseline.
- How often do you fly? (4 of 4): Domestic flights per year and International flights per year. Tap Continue.
You will see Building your Carbon Baseline..., then Your baseline is ready. Tap Go to Dashboard to finish, or Continue setup to link your employer and see your rewards.
Changing your answers
Go to Profile, then under Data tap Update Baseline Survey. Answering the same thing again does not change your score. Only real changes do.
If it doesn't work
- "Could not save your baseline. Please retry.": check your connection and tap Retry.
- Use my current location keeps saying Detecting…: allow location access in your browser, or pick the city from Select city instead.
